Spoons is a family-owned ice cream shop in Eastdale Village, Poughkeepsie, where ice cream brings people together. From nostalgic favorites to over-the-top innovative creations, there's always something to satisfy every craving. We make our ice cream cakes and novelties in-house and always keep things fresh with monthly specials inspired by the seasons, pop culture, and a little imagination.

With fun events and a love for our local community, we're here to make everyday moments, and the memories that come with them, a whole lot sweeter!

Our Story

Hi! We're Jamie and Dale, and we're so happy you're here. We've owned Spoons since March 2026, along with our two children who are pretty convinced we picked the best family business ever

For years, we dreamed about having a local business of our own. Whenever we traveled, we'd find a shop we loved and say, "Could you imagine doing something like this someday?" Then, we'd spend the rest of the trip dreaming up ideas.

After more than a decade in corporate marketing, Jamie was ready for a new chapter, and that someday became Spoons.

We're grateful to the previous owners for creating a place people already loved, and we've had so much fun adding our own personality. We painted the whole shop pink (by hand with a brush), built a custom sprinkle wall, rebranded Spoons to be your local favorite ice cream social spot, and got to work making Spoons the kind of place that you remember.

To us, that means more than a great scoop of ice cream. It's a familiar warm face behind the counter, a new treat you can't wait to try, and a fun reason to get everyone together. From our seasonal specials to our family events, we love finding little ways to make your visit special.

Our wonderful staff is a huge part of that. They bring the fun, care about our customers, and make Spoons feel like a big family.
